Angel's Nest

"Every child has a talent; every child is capable, and every child is deserving of a chance." --Malika Bruno

What We Do

Angel’s Nest provides out-of-home placement for girls in foster care. Our mission is to help each child develop secure attachment through physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development. At Angel’s Nest, we desire each of our girls to become confident, have healthy relationships, cope with difficulties in a way that is positive, and live full lives.

Meeting The Need

Tools

Safety, education, along with access to medical needs should be awarded to every child; no questions asked.

Many take for granted a warm bed, a shower, a balanced meal, or safety from those who wish to harm children.

Making A Connection

trust

Children in foster care have had trauma related experiences. Angel’s Nest strives to help each child to make healthy connections and foster the ability to have adaptive relationships in the future.

Changing The Trajectory

teACH

The real meaning and purpose of discipline is to teach. Our children have suffered enough loss. Moving forward, they will receive gains to include resilient behavior methods without self-harm.

Safety and security don't just happen; they are the result of collective consensus and public investment. We owe our children, the most vulnerable citizens in our society, a life free of violence and fear

-Nelson Mandela-

About us

Angel’s Nest is a general residential operation for girls at the enrolling ages of 5 to 13-years-old but caring for girls ages 5-17 years old. The girls of Angel’s Nest are our residents and number one priority. We understand children in foster care have had multiple placements and/or trauma related experiences. Each child will be nurtured in a safe environment and given adaptive tools for age appropriate independence.

Children entering into foster have had exposure to conditions that threaten their safety and overall well-being. Such experiences are a direct impact and disruption of emotional health and capacity to socially engage with peers.

Angel’s Nest seeks to provide a safe environment, staff training, extracurricular activities, and trauma informed care. We offer hope by way of promoting competence, consistency, and longevity in our programs. Our children will learn necessary skills to foster imagination and social engagement.

Children entering our programs have experienced tremendous loss. Our intervention strategies help to build trust while guiding through the healing process. A child’s developing brain is vulnerable to stress, and we as caregivers are tasked to show our children the good side of humanity.
